Share the joy of reading during the 2026 Roosevelt Readathon. There are many ways for students to participate this year:

Read! Students participate in Readathon by reading as much as they can during February! Families can help their students read (being read to counts!) and track their minutes online.

Collect Pledges: Ask friends and family to make a pledge to your student to help encourage them to read. The readathon is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year!

Play Blackout Bingo: Complete the blackout bingo sheet before the end of the month for a chance to win a prize.

When students participate in the Readathon, they can win some cool prizes! The prize categories this year include:

• The two students from each grade (K-5 and ALPS) who read the most minutes.
• The student who raises the most money.
• One randomly selected student who completed a Blackout Bingo card.
• The teacher with the highest percentage of students who participated.
• All students who log at least 100 minutes get invited to the annual Shake Your Tail Feather dance party.
