October 28 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Lotería Night is a fun event to celebrate Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month and Día de los Muertos! Enjoy the festivities of the season at this free family event, on Tuesday, October 28 at 6:00-7:30 p.m. All Roosevelt families are invited to gather for a community dinner, lotería (with prizes), and socializing! While you’re there, don’t forget to stop by our school’s ofrenda.
What to expect: Tamales, rice, beans, and churros will be provided for dinner. We’ll play lotería (a traditional Mexican game similar to bingo) and celebrate the season together. Lotería will be played in both English and Spanish.
What to bring: Feel free to bring a side dish for our community dinner. We’ll have small notecards available at the event to write the name of your dish and any dietary notes (i.e. vegan, gluten free, includes nuts, etc.).
